3 Signs of a bad web designer
19 Feb
How should you decide on a web designer? Well there are several ways, but i thought I would share a few of the ways to avoid the bad website designers.
1. There are no clients listed. People list clients to show off work, but also a way to show that they have worked well with other people. If you are in doubt or want to double check, just contact their past project clients.
2. Their projects look awful. Check out their other work. If their projects look horrible, there is no way yours will somehow look great. Designers get better with time, but looking at their past work is a great way to gauge what you can expect.
3. They are very “affordable”. If you’ve gotten a few price quotes and for some reason a designer or two come in much cheaper, find out why. They may have good reasons, but chances are, they are not putting in the work to make sure your site works and looks good. Ask about SEO, updating the website (how easy will it be? how much will it cost? how long will it take?), CSS (what kind of code do they use? using CSS will save a ton of time and make sure that your site is easy to update and improve).
