The idea was to make a branding logo without the flash and polish that makes some logos look so corporate and impersonal. The idea was to make a logo with some mess to reflect the mission of the Justice Movement, which was to be in the mess of every day lives of people.

This logo was to incorporate in slides and larger images. It uses a stock photo of some converse shoes to make it more accessible and average.

This logo made use of a texture background as well, a stock image of leather to give it that organic feel.

The shoes were very difficult to incorporate into the final logo though because there are so many lines necessary to distinguish shoes and that would limit the smaller sizes of the logo. So the look was mostly kept but turned into more of a badge look, an ‘enclosure logo’ that would still hold the elements of being imperfect and accessible.

This logo is strong at any size and in any color to portray the feel of the Justice Movement.

The enclosure style works much better for branding but the leather would need to be lost for scalability, so the logo that could be most widely used was only two colors and those colors can be easily changed since the shapes and lettering are strong enough to carry the logo in any color.
