KidKARE logo design

After KidZONE was developed, NorthView was interested in developing a logo for the youngest ages in the KidZONE program. I decided I wanted to tie the logos together as far as form, especially because the names are so similar.

I made the decision that the font would need to do most of the talking since the overall shape was already set. I decided to make the font the same on all of the letters, a font called Duality. It features very distinct thicker letters with curvy edges, perfectly representing something carefree and fun.

Next, I chose to use primary colors to fill in the letters, and rather than the two colors that make up the KidZONE logo, this logo uses all three primary colors. To make the logo stand out even more, I drew a curved rectangle to house the “kid” letters and shaped them to match. Then I twisted a few of the points on the box to get rid of its boxy shape, I needed the edges of the box to be curvy like the edge of the letters.

To top it all off, I applied a slight gradient to “KARE” and used a plastic wrap effect on all of the letters, then a few drop shadows.

KidKARE logo: curved lines on the top word and each letter and the use of primary colors for this logo design.
