non-profit logos

as i look for the right look for the FSM logo, I came across this post of 25 powerful non profit logos deconstructed. the logos here are not all great (actually few are, but they are non-profits so who will blame them?)
non-profit logos walk a difficult line of displaying confidence, organization and trust, while avoiding an overly polished and corporate look. Non-profits would like to portray professionalism in order to gain the trust of potential donors, but they do not want those donors turned away by an image of the company being overly slick.
