WordPress widgets not available to add

Haven’t written much about WordPress, but ran into an issue while developing a site. I was using a theme with one sidebar and several of the widgets did not have the “add” button, the add button was not showing up at all.
Solution: Find a theme with multiple sidebars, because at some point the widget was enabled in a different sidebar. Install the previous theme and then search the sidebars for the widget. When you find it, remove it and save the sidebar. Then go back and enable the theme you want to use and the sidebar widget should be available to add.
